About Fergus Curling Club
Fergus Curling Club: A Legend of Canadian Curling History
Formed in 1834 by Scottish immigrants who played their first games outdoors on the frozen streets in front of Black’s Tavern, the Fergus Curling Club is the oldest continuously operating curling club in Ontario. Now located at 148 St. George Street West in Fergus, Ontario, this historic club is celebrating an incredible 190-year milestone of curling.
The modern facility features a high-quality four-sheet indoor ice surface, complete with comfortable locker rooms, a kitchen, and a fully licensed bar. The club runs a massive lineup of weekly leagues for men, women, mixed teams, and junior ‘Little Rockers’ programs. Known for its exceptionally warm, friendly members, Fergus is the perfect winter sports destination.
