This Privacy Policy explains what personal data www.bonspiels.net (the “Site”) collects, why, and what your rights are. We collect as little as possible: you can use the calendar without an account and without giving us any personal data.

2What we collect and why

DataWhy and how long
Contact form and emailsYour name, email address and message, so we can answer you or add or correct an event. We keep messages as long as needed to handle your request and for our records.
Event and organizer informationInformation about events and organizers (club names, public contact details, links, posters) that is already published by the organizer or a curling association. We use it to list the event and remove it after the event has ended. Organizers can ask us to correct or remove it at any time.
Website statisticsWith Google Analytics we measure how the Site is used: pages visited, type of device and browser, approximate location and how you found us. We use this only in aggregated form to improve the Site.
Security and technical dataOur hosting provider and security firewall process your IP address and technical request data to deliver the Site and protect it against attacks. These logs are kept only for a short time.
Spam protectionThe contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, which processes information about your device and your interaction with the page.
Draw MakerEverything you enter in the Draw Maker (team names, scores, settings) is stored only in your own browser. It is not sent to us, and you can delete it by clearing your browser data.

3Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The Site uses:

  • Necessary cookies and browser storage – to make the Site and the Draw Maker work;
  • Statistics cookies – from Google Analytics (for example _ga) to measure visits;
  • Third-party cookies – from services embedded on the Site, such as Google reCAPTCHA, Stay22 accommodation offers and Google Sheets previews.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work, but some embedded features may not.

4Who we share data with

We never sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as far as needed:

  • our hosting and security providers;
  • Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Sheets);
  • Stay22 and its booking partners, when you look at or click on accommodation or activity offers;
  • Spreadshop, if you buy from our merchandise store (their own privacy policy applies);
  • authorities, when we are required to by law.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards for international data transfers.

6Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we have about you and get a copy;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • object to or restrict the use of your data;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

7Children

The Site is meant for curlers and organizers of all ages, but it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the date of the last update.
