1About the Site
bonspiels.net is a free online calendar of curling bonspiels, learn-to-curl sessions and club events in Canada, the United States and Europe, together with curling club directories and free tools for organizers.
bonspiels.net does not organize, host or run the events listed on the Site. We do not take registrations or process payments. Registration, payment, refunds and everything about the event itself are handled by the organizer (usually the host club).
2Event information
Event information is collected from public sources – such as curling association calendars, club websites and club Facebook pages – and from organizers who send it to us. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or correct, and events may be changed, postponed or cancelled.
Always confirm the date, location, entry fee and other details with the organizer before you register or travel. We are not responsible for any event, its organization or its cancellation.
3Organizers and submitted content
If you send us information, posters, logos or images about an event, you confirm that you are allowed to share them and that they do not violate anyone else’s rights. You allow us to publish them on the Site and to share them when promoting the event.
We may edit, shorten or remove any listing or content at our discretion, for example if it is incorrect, out of date or not related to curling. Organizers can ask us at any time to correct or remove a listing about their event.
4Free tools
The Draw Maker, the draw sheets template, the hosting guide and the planning checklist are provided free of charge and “as is”. They are meant to help organizers, but the organizer remains responsible for checking the draw, the schedule and the results before and during the event.
Draws created with the Draw Maker are saved only in your own browser (and in files you save yourself). We do not keep a copy, so please use “Save file” to keep a backup.
5Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for anything unlawful or to send spam;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its servers;
- copy large parts of the Site with automated tools (scraping) without our permission;
- submit false, misleading or offensive content.
6Links and third-party services
The Site links to websites and services run by others, such as organizers’ pages, Facebook, Google Sheets, accommodation offers shown through our partner Stay22 and our merchandise store run by Spreadshop. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, offers or bookings. We may earn a small commission from some of these partners, at no extra cost to you.
7Intellectual property
The bonspiels.net name, logo, design, texts and tools are ours. You may link to any page of the Site and share it freely. Event posters, club logos and photos belong to their owners and are shown to promote their events.
8Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that the Site will always be available, free of errors or free of viruses, or that any event information is correct.
To the extent permitted by law, bonspiels.net disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the Site, its content or the events listed on it.
9Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the date of the last update. By continuing to use the Site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
