About Highlander Curling Club
Highlander Curling Club: Fostering Friendship in Antigonish County
Located on Highway 316 in the welcoming community of St. Andrews, Nova Scotia, the Highlander Curling Club is a proud symbol of volunteerism and grassroots sports. Built and conceived entirely by local residents who pooled resources to create an active recreation center, the club is dedicated to maintaining a perfect balance between recreational and competitive play.
The facility operates three sheets of high-quality ice, hosting active leagues six days a week for juniors, seniors, mixed doubles, and stick curling. The club is famous for its season-ending John Juurlink Memorial Closing Bonspiel, established in honor of one of the founding members. Highlander Curling Club remains a warm, highly welcoming venue to stay active and connect with neighbors.
