Dallas/Fort Worth Curling Club: Building Texas’ First Dedicated Curling Ice

The Dallas/Fort Worth Curling Club has spent more than two decades showing how far south curling’s appeal reaches. Founded in 2002, the nonprofit spent its early years as an arena club on hockey ice in the Metroplex, with league games on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons through a season running from early October to mid-March.

Its defining project has been to establish Texas’ first dedicated curling facility. A capital campaign raised money for a home of its own on Corporate Drive in Irving, planned to open in spring 2026, and the facility was pre-approved by USA Curling to host national tournaments and bonspiels in 2026 and 2027, with more than 5,000 visitors a year expected.

Programming runs from Try Curling introductions for first-timers to a developmental league, multiple competitive leagues, adaptive curling and a juniors program offered in 12-week sessions. The club also hosts bonspiels, private events and corporate team-building outings.
