The World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship is World Curling’s global title event for young pairs in the mixed doubles discipline. The 2027 edition runs from 4 to 10 May 2027 and is the third edition. It follows a debut in 2025, when the discipline first reached junior world level after mixed doubles proved popular at the Youth Olympic Games. The tournament closes the international season. The prize is the world junior title. No prize money and no Olympic or senior-worlds qualification links have been published for this event.
The championship is open entry, so any World Curling member association can send a junior pair. There is no fixed qualification ladder at world level. Each federation decides how it picks its representatives. The United States, for example, uses its Junior Mixed Doubles Nationals, a 12-team event for curlers under 21. It runs 4–7 March 2027 at the Cape Cod Curling Club in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
The 2027 entry list has not been released and will be announced closer to the event. The two earlier editions give a guide to the likely shape:
The defending champions are Japan’s Yuina Miura and Kaito Fujii. They beat Canada’s Brooklyn Ideson and Owen Henry 6–5 in the 2026 final. They trailed 5–2 before scoring one in the sixth end, stealing one in the seventh and taking two in the eighth. Scotland’s Tia Laurie and Ethan Brewster took bronze. Italy’s Lucrezia Grande and Stefano Spiller won the inaugural title in 2025, with Denmark’s Schmidt siblings as runners-up.
The host city and arena for 2027 have not been confirmed. World Curling has said the venue will be announced in due course, so there is no capacity or address to give yet. The first two editions were played at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Because the 2027 host has not been named, nothing can be said yet about travel or accommodation.
The same season has other fixed World Curling dates that fans can plan around. The World Junior Curling Championships are in Aberdeen, Scotland, on 6–14 February 2027. The World Mixed Championship is in Penticton, Canada, on 3–10 April.
No ticket information has been released. Sales dates, ticket packages and any admission arrangements will be announced once the host and venue are confirmed. Spectator access at junior world events can differ from the senior championships, so it is best to wait for the host announcement before making plans.
The host city and venue have not been announced yet – we will add the map and nearby hotels as soon as they are.
