Elm Creek Curling Club: A Centennial Legacy in the RM of Grey

First established in 1910 behind a local United Church, the Elm Creek Curling Club is one of the most historically significant rinks in Manitoba. Having celebrated its centennial milestone in 2010, the club moved into its current modern facility on Arena Road in 1980, operating three sheets of high-quality curling ice.

The club remains incredibly stable financially thanks to a unique partnership with the RM of Grey, which allows local volunteers to plant and harvest crops on municipal land to support the rink’s operations. Elm Creek runs active weekly leagues for men, women, and juniors, and holds regular free youth clinics, fostering a deep love for the sport.
