About Carleton Heights Curling Club
Carleton Heights Curling Club: A Welcoming Community in Ottawa
Originally incorporated in May 1958 by a group of passionate military veterans who settled in the neighborhood, the Carleton Heights Curling Club (CHCC) on Normandy Crescent has been a major Ottawa winter sports landmark for decades. Boasting nearly 450 active adult members and a thriving youth division, the club is dedicated to promoting skills development, healthy lifestyles, and fellowship on ice.
Following a devastating fire in April 2025 that heavily damaged the kitchen, bar, lounge, and locker areas, the club’s board and dedicated volunteers rallied to rebuild the facility. Thanks to an outpouring of community support, construction remained perfectly on schedule, with the keys to a newly renovated, modern space delivered in late July 2026. The fully operational four-sheet rink is ready to welcome back curlers of all abilities for the upcoming season, starting in October 2026.
