Granite Curling Club: A New Era of Modern Ice in West Ottawa

Originally founded in 1953 as the first club in the region to curl exclusively with granite rocks rather than historic irons, the Granite Curling Club of West Ottawa entered an exciting new era in September 2023. After a seven-year mission to escape rising property taxes at their historic site, the club relocated to a brand-new, custom-built facility at 2740 Queensview Drive.

The state-of-the-art club features a ground-level four-sheet curling rink with a second-floor social lounge, allowing the facility to host social functions of up to 150 guests without disrupting players on the ice. Serving over 650 active members, the club offers a massive lineup of evening leagues, junior academies, and beginner ‘Learn to Curl’ clinics in a highly accessible highway-junction location.
