Granite Curling Club: Over a Century of Community Pride

Established in 1920, the Granite Curling Club on 107 Street NW is proudly recognized as the oldest southside curling rink in Edmonton, Alberta. Rich in historic heritage, the club recently celebrated 100 years of active play with a major memorial banner project and continues to be a central pillar of the capital region’s winter sports scene.

The facility features a spacious eight-sheet curling arena, hosting active weekly leagues for seniors, juniors, mixed doubles, and competitive flights under the leadership of managers Joe Ruptash and Murray Lee. Off the ice, members enjoy delicious smoked barbecue from the in-house Streetside Smokehouse caterers. During the spring and summer off-season, the concrete floor converts into a bustling pickleball center featuring indoor courts.
