About Carol Curling Club
Carol Curling Club: A Landmark of Athletic Pride in Labrador West
Located on Booth Street in the historic iron ore mining town of Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Carol Curling Club is a vital athletic and social center. Since its establishment, the club has played a massive role in keeping the remote sub-arctic community active and connected during the long, freezing northern winters.
Despite its remote geography, the Carol Curling Club has produced world-class curling talent, most notably serving as the home base for Sue Ann Bartlett, an inductee of the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame who captured 12 provincial women’s titles and senior championships. Operating under the Newfoundland & Labrador Curling Association, the club hosts youth programs, active weekly leagues, and community events, offering unmatched warmth and northern hospitality.
