Fort Garry Curling Club: Celebrating Centennial Sportsmanship on Archibald
Dating back to its original 1927 Depot Curling League roots organized by Canadian National Railway employees, the Fort Garry Curling Club is a historic winter sports icon in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After a fire destroyed their original Main Street building and municipal expansion forced relocation, the club opened its current modern six-sheet facility at 696 Archibald Street in St. Boniface in the fall of 1997.
The club is highly celebrated for its welcoming ‘Friendly Fort’ atmosphere, running popular men’s, ladies’, mixed, senior, and junior leagues on six sheets of pristine ice. Newcomers are welcomed with free first ‘Learn to Curl’ lessons, while the on-site ‘House Eatery’ restaurant and fully licensed bar provide a warm, cozy setting to socialize after matches.
