About Hampton Curling Club

Hampton Curling Club: Fostering Friendship and Family Since 1890

Established in 1890, the Hampton Curling Club is one of the oldest active curling clubs in New Brunswick. The club’s historic journey began with players sliding stones on frozen creeks, keeping their gear in a piano box and occasionally wading through spring floods to rescue their stones. In 1892, they purchased their current home on Cemetery Road, eventually constructing a beautiful three-sheet rink featuring iconic Gothic arches in 1966.

Today, the club is run 100% by passionate local volunteers who meticulously prepare the ice sheets each winter. Offering adult day and evening leagues, Hampton is highly dedicated to youth athletic development, running an active Little Rocks program on Sunday mornings. The cozy, licensed community hall is also highly popular for year-round private rentals and social bonspiels.
