Capital Winter Club: Fredericton’s Modern Sports Landmark

Conveniently located at 232 Rookwood Avenue in Fredericton, New Brunswick, the Capital Winter Club (CWC) is a premier sport and recreation hub. Active year-round, the club is highly committed to developing the sport of curling in the capital region, running diverse evening, daytime, senior, and junior leagues.

In August 2023, the club secured a massive $181,786 grant from the federal Canada Community Revitalization Fund, paired with $75,000 from the City of Fredericton, to undergo major facility modernizations. These funds were used to heavily upgrade the club’s kitchen and dining hall, and construct state-of-the-art gender-neutral change rooms and washrooms. Off the ice, CWC serves as an incredibly versatile, fully accessible year-round community venue for local events and corporate conferences.
