About Fredericton Curling Club

Fredericton Curling Club: Bringing Capital Region Curlers Together Since 1854

First established in 1854 by passionate early settlers who played on the frozen Saint John River, the historic Fredericton Curling Club is the oldest curling organization in New Brunswick. Historically occupying a dedicated home on Smythe Street, the club carries forward a legendary legacy of sportsmanship, comradeship, and military garrison ties.

Following a historic alignment in 2007, the club merged its active operations into the modern Capital Winter Club on Rookwood Avenue to secure a sustainable future for the local sport. Today, the club’s proud heritage and competitive spirit live on through dedicated league divisions, continuing to welcome new generations of New Brunswick curlers to experience this classic sport.
