About Huntsville Curling Club
Huntsville Curling Club: A Proud Heritage of Sport on Veterans Way
With a rich athletic history, the Huntsville Curling Club has been bringing Muskoka families together since players first slid stones on natural ice in 1948. After a devastating fire destroyed their original building in 1951, dedicated members rallied to construct a modern, purpose-built four-sheet curling rink on Veterans Way, which officially reopened on January 10, 1952.
The club has hosted prestigious provincial playdowns, including the 2018 Ontario Men’s Tankard which brought a massive economic boost to Huntsville. Today, the volunteer-run club serves members from ages 6 to 96, offering popular evening leagues, junior instructions, and senior stick draws, complete with a licensed lounge and dining hall.
