About Anchorage Curling Club

Anchorage Curling Club: Alaska Curling on Dedicated Ice Since 1954

Anchorage Curling Club has been part of winter life in Alaska’s largest city since 1954. That founding date puts it among the long-established clubs in the western United States, and it predates Alaska statehood by five years.

The club plays in its own dedicated curling facility with two sheets of ice, so the stones run on true curling ice rather than a shared hockey surface. Anchorage is a member club of USA Curling and of the Alaska curling region, one of the regions that sends its playdown winners on toward the U.S. national championships.

With long winters and a dedicated building, the club offers Anchorage curlers a home base for league play and bonspiels through the season.
