Aklavik Curling Club: Northern Curling at the Sam Arey Rink
Located in the beautiful northern hamlet of Aklavik in the Northwest Territories, the Aklavik Curling Club (often centered around the Sam Arey Rink) offers an authentic, remote curling experience on natural ice. It is a vital recreation and wellness hub for the local community during the sub-arctic winters.
Operated in coordination with the Northwest Territories Curling Association, the club provides locals with a great way to stay active, socialize, and compete. Despite playing on natural ice, the passion and community pride at this northern venue are unmatched.
