About Cochrane Curling Club

Cochrane Curling Club: A True Northern Ontario Sporting Icon

With a rich athletic history dating back to 1913, the Cochrane Curling Club on 1st Avenue is one of the most historically significant sports venues in Northeastern Ontario. After their original building tragically burned down in the 1980s, the dedicated railroad and logging community rallied to construct the current modern four-sheet facility on 5th Avenue, which officially reopened to secure the club’s future.

Operating from November through March, the club is a member of the Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA) and hosted the prestigious Northern Ontario Men’s Curling Championship. Cochrane Curling Club offers inclusive programming for all age groups, including recreational evening leagues, junior schools, and active senior draws. The facility features a comfortable viewing gallery, making it the perfect winter home.
