Curling Club of Collingwood: Celebrating Over a Century on Hume Street
Established in 1881 by early Scottish settlers who played their first matches outdoors on the frozen waters of Georgian Bay, the Curling Club of Collingwood is one of the most historically rich sports clubs in Ontario. Operating out of its current six-sheet facility at 250 Hume Street since 1949, the club serves over 600 active members from the Southern Georgian Bay area.
The club features a high-quality six-sheet ice surface, equipped with brand-new curling stones, a spacious viewing area, and a fully licensed bar. Operating on the hard work of its volunteer members to keep seasonal rates highly affordable, the club runs active evening and daytime leagues, junior programs, and popular pick-up style ‘Jitney’ games, making it the perfect winter sports destination.
