The World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship crowns the best wheelchair mixed doubles pair on the planet, with each team made up of one female and one male athlete. The 2027 edition runs from 1 to 8 March 2027. It is an open-entry championship, meaning any World Curling member association can send a pair. The event is still young: it was introduced in 2022 and has since been staged in Finland, Canada, South Korea and Scotland.
Nations enter directly through their federations rather than through a qualifying tournament, and the list of competing pairs will be confirmed by World Curling closer to the event. The reigning champions are Japan’s Aki Ogawa and Yoji Nakajima, who took gold at the 2025 championship in Stevenston, Scotland, ahead of Scotland’s Robyn McKenna and Gregor Nibloe, with Estonia on the bronze step. Earlier titles went to Sweden (2022), Latvia (2023) and South Korea (2024), underlining how open this discipline remains.
The championship returns to where it all began. Lohja hosted the inaugural edition in 2022, and in 2027 it will again be staged at the Kisakallio Campus, the Olympic and Paralympic Training Centre run by the Sports Institute of Three Campuses. The partnership between World Curling and the Lohja organisers stretches back more than 15 years, and the 2026–27 season is a record one for the venue: it also stages the World Wheelchair-B, World Junior-B, World Junior and World Wheelchair Curling Championships, the latter finishing just days earlier (20–27 February).
Lohja lies in southern Finland, west of Helsinki, which makes the capital’s airport the natural gateway for visiting fans.
Ticketing and spectator information have not yet been published. Details on access to the Kisakallio arena will be announced by the local organisers ahead of the championship.
Venue: Kisakallio Sports Institute, Kaarina Karin tie 4, 08360 Lohja, Finland
