About Bassano Curling Club

Bassano Curling Club: Classic Alberta Sportsmanship on Ice

Operating inside the Bassano Recreation Complex at 109 1st Street in Bassano, Alberta, the Bassano Curling Club is a volunteer-run organization funded through local taxation from the Town of Bassano and the County of Newell. The multi-purpose recreation complex is a unique athletic hub that houses the curling rink, a 3-lane 5-pin bowling alley, and the beautiful Sage & Thistle Golf Course.

The curling rink features three sheets of excellently prepared ice, welcoming players to cheer, yell, and sweep throughout the winter season. The club runs highly active local leagues and popular weekend tournaments. Its integration into the larger complex makes it a highly convenient, family-friendly space for residents looking to enjoy winter athletics and post-game social events.
