About Campbell River Curling Club
Campbell River Curling Club: 60 Years of Member-Owned Sport
Originally opened in January 1964 as the Campbell River and District Winter Club, the Campbell River Curling Club on Cedar Street has been a beloved athletic landmark for over six decades. Financed originally by selling 300 memberships for $100 each and built largely by volunteers, the club is one of the very few four-sheet rinks in Canada that remains entirely owned by its shareholders.
Today, the club serves nearly 400 active curlers of all ages and skill levels. The facility features a full-service viewing lounge, a seasonal café, a pool table, and a stocked pro-shop. Dedicated to making the sport inclusive, Campbell River hosts specialized divisions for youth (ages 7-18), seniors, Special Olympics curling, and programs for blind and visually impaired players.
