About East York Curling Club
East York Curling Club: Over 60 Years of Historic Community Sport
Operating a beautiful six-sheet curling facility at 901 Cosburn Avenue, the East York Curling Club is a beloved winter athletic landmark owned by the City of Toronto. Established in 1960 and playing originally at the East York Memorial Arena, the club officially opened its current dedicated, modern facility on January 30, 1965, with a ceremonial first rock.
The club holds an esteemed place in global sports history, having hosted the first-ever Junior World Curling Championships in 1974. East York is highly celebrated for its warm, friendly members and social environment, running active day and evening leagues for seniors, mixed, and junior players. Complete with a comfortable 150-person lounge with a cozy fireplace, the club is a premier GTA curling destination.
