About Hope Curling Club

Hope Curling Club: A Landmark of Volunteer Grit and Community Spirit

Established in 1959 on Sixth Avenue, the Hope Curling Club is a proud symbol of community-driven recreation in the Fraser Valley. Following a devastating fire in the mid-1970s that nearly destroyed the building, the block walls were saved, and the club became the focus of a massive volunteer-led restoration project that culminated in major interior and exterior upgrades.

The beautifully renovated facility operates four sheets of ice with energy-efficient LED lighting, reducing carbon emissions and cutting monthly energy costs. The club offers a pester lineup of winter programs from October through March, welcoming the public with a traditional week of free curling. Spectators can stay warm in the comfortable viewing lounge, defining a relaxed, family-friendly social environment.
