About Coquitlam Curling Club

Reflecting on the Curling Legacy of Coquitlam

Established as a vital athletic association in Coquitlam, British Columbia, the Coquitlam Curling Club spent decades promoting winter fitness and sportsmanship. Operating out of the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex, the club served as a beloved social anchor for hundreds of local residents, running popular evening leagues, junior academies, and senior draws.

To secure a sustainable future for the local sport amidst changing municipal ice demands, Coquitlam decided to centralize its curling services at the nearby Port Moody curling arena. While the physical ice lanes inside Poirier were converted to general arena use, the competitive drive, warm hospitality, and historic athletic legacy of Coquitlam’s curling division live on in the hearts of the Tri-Cities curling community.
