Lake Tahoe Epic Curling: Year-Round Dedicated Ice at Stateline

Lake Tahoe Epic Curling grew out of occasional curling sessions at the South Tahoe Ice Arena and was formally established in January 2013. In 2019 the club took a big leap, building a year-round, two-sheet dedicated curling facility in the basement of the TRPA building on Market Street in Stateline, Nevada, just across the state line from South Lake Tahoe. It is the only dedicated curling club at Lake Tahoe and a member of the Mountain Pacific Curling Association.

The club runs league and pick-up play, morning coffee sessions and a spare finder, plus a three-session Intro to Curling course for newcomers 12 and up. Juniors are well served: Lil Rockers for grades one through five and a youth curling program for high schoolers, launched in 2023. Private group and team-building sessions are also offered.

Its resort-town location brings an unusually international crowd to the sheets; the club has hosted Olympians, NCAA champions and curlers from India, Israel, Mexico and Scotland. Lake Tahoe Epic Curling celebrated its tenth anniversary in January 2023.
