Rushmore Curling Club – Curling in the Shadow of the Black Hills

Rushmore Curling Club is the curling club of Rapid City, the gateway to the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore in western South Dakota. Founded in 2003, the club plays on arena ice at the Roosevelt Park Ice Arena, where four sheets are laid out for curling.

Rushmore is a member of USA Curling’s Dakota Territory region, part of a curling scene that stretches across the northern plains, and it gives western South Dakota a home for league play and a place for newcomers to throw their first stones. Its arena setting at Roosevelt Park, one of Rapid City’s main recreation areas, puts curling alongside hockey and skating in the city’s winter sports life.
