Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club: Honoring Veterans with World-Class Ice
Located in the St. James community of Winnipeg, Manitoba, at 940 Vimy Road, the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club (AMCC) carries a proud legacy dating back to 1929. Named as a memorial to fallen soldiers from WWI and WWII, the club has grown from a humble two-sheet ‘root cellar’ into a massive, world-class eight-sheet facility.
AMCC is famous as the home of the 1995 World Men’s Curling Champions, skipped by Kerry Burtnyk. In addition to boasting premium, expertly kept ice, visitors frequently praise the club’s exceptionally comfortable bar and lounge, which is equipped with multiple 55-inch TVs and upgraded audio-visual equipment for social and corporate events.
