About Bally Haly Golf & Country Club

Bally Haly Golf & Country Club: Honoring a Century of Athletic Heritage

Dating back to 1896, Bally Haly Golf & Country Club in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, is one of the oldest athletic clubs in Atlantic Canada. Originally established on Logy Bay Road, the club added a dedicated curling rink in 1957 following a rebuilding effort, creating a premier dual-sport hub that nurtured generations of elite golfers and curlers.

In May 2023, the historic club relocated to the former Clovelly Golf Course to expand its facilities, transitioning its seasonal focus. Despite this relocation, Bally Haly remains a legendary name in Newfoundland curling history, celebrated for its historic contributions to the sport and its vibrant role as a premier dining, catering, and social center.
