About Iqaluit Curling Club
Iqaluit Curling Club: Nunavut’s Ultimate Winter Gathering Spot
Located on Nunavut Drive, the Iqaluit Curling Club is a vital non-profit sports organization and social anchor in Canada’s far north. The club runs active recreational and competitive leagues from November through April, catering to all demographics with specialized Little Rocks (ages 7-12) and Junior (ages 12-18) programs.
The club’s city-owned facility gained national attention in 2024 when it was rented out to serve as a temporary film studio for the Netflix/CBC/APTN sitcom North of North, illustrating its versatile role in local economic development. With municipal ice plant repairs completed, Iqaluit has successfully returned to a full schedule of learn-to-curl sessions and league nights, preparing competitive teams to represent the territory at national playdowns.
