Charlottetown Curling Club: Writing an Exciting New Chapter on PEI
With a proud history of bringing islanders together since 1887, the Charlottetown Curling Club is one of Prince Edward Island’s oldest and most historically significant athletic organizations. After mechanical failures and economic pressures forced the sale of their historic five-sheet Euston Street building in late 2021, this membership-based association has continued to thrive against all odds.
While members currently play on ice at neighboring rinks in Cornwall, Montague, and Summerside, the club’s board is actively working on a proposed $8.4 million dedicated facility on the Stratford Community Campus. Demonstrating their incredible optimism, the club purchased 64 brand-new curling stones directly from Scotland in early 2026 using the Canada Games Legacy Fund, keeping them ready in storage to secure a bright future for capital-region curling.
