About Alida Curling Club
Welcome to Alida Curling Club in Southeast Saskatchewan
Situated in the cozy village of Alida, Saskatchewan, the Alida Curling Club is a proud symbol of local sportsmanship and resilience. After the original arena flooded in 2014, the dedicated community raised funds to open a brand-new facility in 2017. The modern rink serves as a focal point for winter recreation, housing active leagues and multi-generational events.
The club is highly regarded for its unique, decades-old tradition: an annual one-day Ladies’ Dress-Up Bonspiel where teams hit the ice in creative costumes, ranging from sombreros to tutus. In addition to themed matches, the club hosts popular Oilmen & Farmers’ Bonspiels and community breakfasts, making it a beloved gathering place for southeast Saskatchewan residents.
