About Caledonian Curling Club
Caledonian Curling Club: Over a Century of Championship Ice
Established on October 14, 1915, the Caledonian Curling Club (affectionately known as the Callie) is one of the oldest and most historically significant curling clubs in Canada. Located at 2225 Sandra Schmirler Way near the Regina International Airport, this massive facility features 12 sheets of world-class curling ice.
The Callie is globally famous as the home club of Sandra Schmirler’s legendary rink, which captured Canada’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in women’s curling at the 1998 Nagano Winter Games. Following its amalgamation with the historic Tartan Curling Club in 2018, the Callie remains one of Regina’s primary athletic centers, hosting diverse leagues, youth academies, the Queen City LGBT league, and a premier banquet hall available for large weddings and corporate rentals.
