About Indian Head Curling Club
Indian Head Curling Club: Over a Century of Prairie Sports Heritage
First established in 1888 when early railroad workers played on frozen local creeks, the Indian Head Curling Club is one of the oldest active sports clubs in Saskatchewan. The club moved into its first covered rink in 1910 and raised funds by selling $50 shares to open its permanent modern four-sheet artificial ice facility on Railroad Street in 1927.
The club has a rich competitive history, proudly displaying the historic CPR Mainline Levi Thompson Challenge Cup dating back to 1915. Operating from November through March, Indian Head runs active mixed, senior, and junior leagues on four beautifully prepared sheets of ice. Off the ice, members enjoy a cozy, fully licensed lounge and shuffleboard.
