About Orange County Curling Club
Orange County Curling Club: Southern California Curling Since 2010
Orange County Curling Club has been building a curling community in Southern California since 2010. The nonprofit club, a member of USA Curling and the Mountain Pacific Curling Association, has moved between local rinks over the years and since 2024 has played on arena ice at Lakewood Ice on Pixie Avenue in Lakewood, just over the county line in Los Angeles County.
The club’s stated aim is an inclusive community open to all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and its program reflects that. Newcomers start with learn-to-curl classes, then can join drop-in sessions open to players 14 and older who have had an introduction, with all equipment provided. Regular members play in Sunday and Thursday leagues, and the calendar also includes practice ice, skills clinics, bonspiels, youth development and adaptive curling for people with disabilities.
