About Loggerhead Curling Club
Loggerhead Curling Club: Growing Curling in South Florida
Loggerhead Curling Club is the curling club of Palm Beach County, playing arena curling at the Palm Beach Skate Zone on Lake Worth Road. The club started in 2018 as the Palm Beach Curling Club and made an early mark by winning the Florida Bonspiel in Orlando in December 2018. It later rebranded as Loggerhead Curling Club when it moved to its current rink, where it curls on four sheets.
The club’s mission is to grow curling in South Florida, and it is open to curlers of any age or experience. League play is offered for all skill levels, including a beginners’ league, while Learn to Curl sessions introduce newcomers and team-building groups to the sport. Membership runs on the calendar year, and in keeping with curling tradition, games end with broomstacking, the social gathering where both teams share a drink after the final end.
