About The Country Club
The Country Club: Curling at Brookline’s Historic Private Club
The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, familiarly known simply as Brookline, is one of the oldest country clubs in the United States, founded in 1882. Best known for golf, it hosted the 2022 U.S. Open, but its grounds also hold a skating and hockey rink, tennis, squash and a dedicated curling facility.
The club’s curlers play on four sheets of dedicated ice. Curling at The Country Club is part of the New England tradition of the sport, and the club belongs to USA Curling, the Grand National Curling Club and the U.S. Women’s Curling Association. As a private club, its curling is a members’ program.
