About Bowling Green Curling Club
Bowling Green Curling Club: Home of the Black Swamp Curling Center
Bowling Green Curling Club has been curling in northwest Ohio since 1968. The club is based in Bowling Green, the Wood County seat and home of Bowling Green State University, in the region once covered by the Great Black Swamp.
That geography gave the club’s home its name. On October 21, 2017, the club opened the Black Swamp Curling Center, its own dedicated facility with four sheets of curling ice, moving curling in Bowling Green onto ice built purely for the sport.
Bowling Green is a member of USA Curling, the Great Lakes Curling Association and the U.S. Women’s Curling Association, connecting its curlers to regional bonspiels and national competition.
