Deer Lodge Curling Club: Over a Century of Championship Legacy

Established in 1919 and located on Woodlawn Avenue in the St. James community of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Deer Lodge Curling Club (DLCC) is one of the most historically significant rinks in Canada. The club boasts a legendary competitive pedigree, having served as the home training base for numerous national champions, including Barry Fry’s 1979 Brier winning team and Kelly MacKenzie’s 1995 World Junior Champions.

Following its historic amalgamation with the century-old Thistle Curling Club in 2023, DLCC expanded its operations to accommodate leagues and events from both historic clubs on its six professionally maintained sheets. The fully licensed, multi-level facility features a full-service viewing lounge, large locker rooms, and an energetic social scene, making it a premier destination for Winnipeg curlers.
