Glencoe & District Curling Club: Rebuilding an Elite Winter Home

Operating a beautiful four-sheet curling rink on Currie Street in Glencoe, Ontario, the Glencoe & District Curling Club has been a cornerstone of its small-town community for over 80 years. To secure its future, the club successfully completed a major infrastructure project in early 2026, replacing its aging concrete floor with a modern concrete base supported by a $199,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant and flexible seasonal financing from Community Futures Middlesex.

The newly upgraded facility delivers exceptional, highly consistent playing conditions, hosting active leagues nearly every night of the week. Glencoe is deeply committed to youth sport, running a highly successful, free Sunday junior development program that draws over 20 local kids weekly. With a cozy viewing lounge and a strong social focus, the club remains a vital community wellness asset.
