About Glendon Curling Club
Glendon Curling Club: Traditional Sportsmanship Since 1953
Established in 1953 and located on 51st Avenue in the Village of Glendon, Alberta—home to the world’s largest pyrogy monument—the Glendon Curling Club is a vital winter social and fitness hub. Operating a well-kept three-sheet curling rink, the club plays a critical role in keeping local rural families active and healthy during the long winter months.
The club is highly celebrated for its welcoming, beginner-friendly atmosphere, offering free instructional clinics to help new players master the basic techniques of delivery and sweeping. Glendon runs active recreational leagues, including the popular Friday Night Fun League from January through March. Backed by the local agricultural society, the club offers a warm viewing lobby and a cozy lounge perfect for post-match socializing.
