Reflecting on the Curling Legacy at Glen Meadows

First established in 1965 by the pioneering Criddle family on McTavish Road in North Saanich, British Columbia, the Glen Meadows Golf and Country Club was a beloved lifestyle destination on the Saanich Peninsula. While the prestigious 132-acre property was purchased by the Pauquachin First Nation in 2021, the legacy of its dedicated six-sheet indoor curling rink remains deeply respected.

For over 50 years, Glen Meadows served as a premier winter sports venue, hosting a passionate community of nearly 170 curlers and producing elite local talent. Following the club’s sale and subsequent decision to discontinue curling operations in 2018, members transitioned to other municipal sheets across Greater Victoria. The competitive drive, warm hospitality, and historic athletic legacy of Glen Meadows on ice will never be forgotten.
