About Kimberley Curling Club

Kimberley Curling Club: Celebrating a Century of East Kootenay Pride

Formed in February 1924, the Kimberley Curling Club on Archibald Street is celebrating its magnificent centennial milestone. The historic club has a legendary pedigree, notably serving as the home base for the Ina Hansen and Ada Calles rink, who captured back-to-back Canadian Championships in 1962 and 1964 and were inducted into the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame.

Today, the club continues its winning legacy, with Team B.C. Men, skipped by Mitch Young, capturing the Gold Medal at the 2025 Canadian Curling Club Championships. Hosting over 250 active members, Kimberley runs popular evening leagues, specialized youth programs at the Kootenay Curling Academy, and has successfully hosted the prestigious BC Mixed Provincial Championships.
