About Halifax Curling Club

Halifax Curling Club: A Landmark of Canadian Sports History

Established in 1824, the Halifax Curling Club on South Bland Street holds the proud title of being one of the oldest active sports clubs in North America. The historic club has spent over two centuries promoting winter fitness, sportsmanship, and maritime fellowship, serving as a pillar of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia athletic heritage.

Operating a high-quality multi-sheet ice surface, the club hosts popular leagues, youth development divisions, and ‘Learn to Curl’ clinics for beginners. Highly regarded for its competitive pedigree, Halifax has produced numerous provincial and national championship teams. Off the ice, members gather in the comfortable viewing lounge and licensed bar, enjoying a warm and historically rich social environment.
