About Belfast Curling Club
Belfast Curling Club: Penobscot Bay Curling Since 1959
Belfast Curling Club has been curling on the coast of Maine since 1959. The club is based in Belfast, the Waldo County seat on Penobscot Bay, and plays on Belmont Avenue in its own dedicated curling building.
The clubhouse holds three sheets of curling ice built and kept for curling alone. The club is a member of USA Curling, the Grand National Curling Club and the U.S. Women’s Curling Association, which connects its men’s and women’s curlers to regional and national competition.
More than six decades on, Belfast remains a home base for league curling and bonspiels in midcoast Maine through the long winter months.
