About Curling Club of the Berkshires, Inc.
Curling Club of the Berkshires: Western Massachusetts Takes to the Ice
The Curling Club of the Berkshires brings curling to Pittsfield and the hill towns of western Massachusetts. The club, organized around 2014, curls on arena ice at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires on Melville Street, home to one of the few ice rinks in the region, where curling is offered to kids and adults of all ages alongside hockey and skating.
The nonprofit’s stated mission is to promote local, regional and national competition and to grow participation across Berkshire County and neighboring areas. Its Discover Curling sessions are the way in: two-hour introductions for ages 12 and up, with all equipment provided, in which club members teach delivering stones, sweeping and strategy before newcomers try short games.
