Four Seasons Curling Club: Year-Round Curling in Blaine

Four Seasons Curling Club opened on January 2, 2013, inside the Fogerty Ice Arena complex in Blaine, north of Minneapolis, as the first year-round curling facility in North America. The $3.5 million addition gave the club six sheets of dedicated curling ice, a new ice plant and a restaurant, Gabe’s Rinkside, whose tall windows look straight onto the sheets. More than 400 people turned up for the free clinic in opening week.

In 2015 the U.S. Olympic Committee named the club one of its official Olympic training sites, with 2010 Olympian John Benton overseeing curling operations. Big events followed: the club hosted the 2017 U.S. Olympic Mixed Doubles Trials, a 2021 mixed doubles qualifier, NBC Sports’ Curling Night in America and, in spring 2025, the World Deaf Curling Championships with teams from ten nations.

With roughly 650 curlers, Four Seasons is one of the largest clubs in the country, and its learn-to-curl programs and corporate outings introduce newcomers to the game every season.
