Chaska Curling Center: Home of USA Curling’s National Training Center

Chaska Curling Center opened in December 2015 as a City of Chaska Parks and Recreation facility, built as part of the renovation of the city’s historic Firemen’s Park in the southwest Twin Cities metro. Olympic curler Jeff Isaacson moved down from the Iron Range to run it, and demand surprised everyone: the city projected 188 memberships for the first year and sold more than 800.

The six-sheet dedicated facility now serves around 1,000 or more curlers, one of the largest curling memberships in the country. Leagues run Sunday through Friday evenings from October to April, with spring and summer leagues from May to September. Try Curling sessions bring in beginners, a junior program develops young players, and the center hosts bonspiels through the year. Spectators watch from the Welcome Hall or from the Crooked Pint Ale House, which overlooks the ice.

In fall 2018 the center was named USA Curling’s National Training Center. It has hosted the 2019 U18 National Championships, the 2021 Junior National Championships, the Americas Challenge, a college curling championship and Curling Night in America broadcasts.
