Great Falls Curling Club: Year-Round Curling at the Ice Plex
Great Falls Curling Club brings curling to Montana’s Electric City, playing at the Great Falls Ice Plex on 29th Street Southwest. The Ice Plex gives the club ice year-round, a rarity for curling in the northern Rockies, where many clubs share hockey arenas only in winter.
The club’s Learn to Curl sessions walk newcomers through the fundamentals: handling and delivering the stone, pushing out of the hack, sweeping and basic strategy. The club also makes the game accessible to people with mobility challenges, with wheelchair curling available. During the 2026 Winter Olympics, club members including Krista Smith and foundation president Ryan Smith hosted an evening Learn to Curl session, hoping the Games would draw a new wave of curlers to the club.
